World Hunger Relief Institute

World Hunger Relief Institute is a 40-acre educational farm with a mission to alleviate hunger through education, research, and sustainable agriculture. Since 1976, WHRI has produced over 400 alumni who have become nonprofit leaders, educators, and active community members in Waco and around the world. WHRI envisions a robust, resilient, and regenerative food system that prioritizes local agricultural production, equitable access to healthy food, and ecological sustainability.

Isaiah 117 House

The Isaiah 117 House was born out of a need for children and teens who are removed from their homes to have a safe place to go while CPS works diligently to find a foster placement.  The home will be filled with friendly and loving volunteers. Children will be given the opportunity to pack a bag with brand new clothing and hygiene items. They’ll have access to a shower, a comfy bed and a warm meal. Isaiah 117 House is changing the way foster care begins.

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market operates year-round on Saturday mornings at the McLennan County Courthouse and seasonally on Wednesday evenings at the Bridge Street Plaza in East Waco. Both markets support local farmers and small businesses, increase food access to health, affordable food, and enrich the community through weekly wellness activities.
