About Charity Champions

Charity Champions are nonprofit organizations chosen by TFNB Your Bank For Life employees after being nominated by the community. Recipients get an awareness marketing campaign and leadership training at no charge to the nonprofit.

The awareness campaign begins with a radio interview by the voice of the Baylor Bears, John Morris, and an on-field presentation at McLane Stadium in front of thousands of Central Texans during a Baylor football game.

After football season ends, we bring Charity Champions recipients together for world-class leadership development training during the first and second quarters of every year. Learn more.

Archway of Hope

Archway shares stories of life, loss, and hope through full-length documentaries, short survival videos, articles, and tributes in order to offer comfort and support to those who have experienced a similar tragedy.

Creative Waco

Creative Waco works to develop successful strategies for growing and supporting our cultural and creative community. It provides a platform for "joined up thinking," allowing community members to set goals, access new funding, evaluate impact and identify needs.

Foster Village Waco

Foster Village Waco bridges the gap between foster families and caregivers and those who want to help, meeting practical needs and providing holistic support beyond the system.

Imagination Library of Waco

The Imagination Library of Waco mission is to ensure that all children in Waco grow up surrounded by books. It’s that simple. Imagination Library of Waco is the local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

JMB Fishing Foundation

The mission of JMB FIshing is to work to provide meaningful memories by pairing children with terminal illnesses and children with special needs, with veterans, wounded warriors, fishermen, hunters and outdoorsmen in great adventures.

The Hangar

This is the heart of their mission is to invite their homeless friends inside their home, and away from all of the stress that comes from the streets. This is where they spend time together investing in relationships, and these relationships are the foundation for everything they do.

What Charity Champions are saying:

Our recognition as a Charity Champion led the Foundation to apply for and receive a $84,895 grant from the Cooper Foundation for the Men of Color program development and to address retention and completion rates among students of color. This grant will enable the college to hire the first paid coordinator for the program beginning in October 2019. In June, the Foundation also received a major gift from a donor to establish the endowed Alvin Pollard, Sr. Men of Color Scholarship for exemplary students in the program.

The day that we went on the Julie Hays show, we had like a 1000 more visitors to our website that night. It's definitely elevated our message. It's also made more people in the community aware of our mission and how they could be a part of it.
