At Children’s Advocacy Center Of Central Texas (CACCT), their mission is to provide comprehensive services to protect, promote healing, and enhance the quality of life for abused and neglected children. No child should have to experience that kind of pain and horror. They work tirelessly to create bright futures for children who have suffered this injustice.
In 2017, more than 1,400 children were confirmed victims of child abuse in Central Texas. These children need specialized services, starting with investigation and proceeding through rehabilitation. Our programs are designed to reduce the effects of trauma on these young children and ensure that collaborative investigation and recovery services are available for them.

No Limitations provides athletic and social opportunities for those with special needs in our community. No Limitations is our first Champion of the 2019 season. Keep an eye out for them on the field this Saturday as Baylor University takes on Stephen F. Austin!

Friends for Life helps those without a support system live healthy, independent lives. Founder and Executive Director Inez Russell tells us how their programs have expanded over the 30 years they’ve been helping the community.
Shepherd’s heart started as a food pantry helping food-insecure families in Waco. Now they’re feeding more than 29,000 families each year. Shepherd’s Heart also operates a resell shop and teaches life-skills classes to try and break the cycles of poverty in the community.

After that, we’ll hear John’s interview with David Littlewood, president of TFNB Your Bank For Life. He talks about the importance of community banking, new locations, and creating a better Waco by supporting nonprofits. Let’s listen!

Pack of Hope helps food insecure children in McLennan County by sending them home from school over the weekend with a pack of nutritious food. While they’re currently packing up meals for over a thousands kids each week, more than 26,000 children in McLennan County are considered food insecure.
